Job summary

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in West Orange, NJ is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for a Per Diem (PRN) schedule from 7AM-7:30PM, including weekdays and weekends. Compensation starts at $23.50/hour plus shift differential.

The inpatient rehabilitation hospital focuses on care for brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. Orientation on start, potential for advancement, and benefits such as a company-matching 401(k)

Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required.
• Nursing assistant certification preferred.
• Hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care (bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, hair care).
• Deliver meals and assist feeding, document oral intake and supplements.
• Turn and position immobile patients and assist mobility.
• Respond to patient call lights and provide services that support patient well-being.
• Transport patients to designated areas, such as treatment centers.

Schedule: Per Diem (PRN), 7AM-7:30PM (Days) Includes Weekday & Weekend Shifts)

Minimum Requirements

Per Diem Requirement: Four (4) shifts per 6-week schedule. One Saturday or Sunday, one Winter/Summer holiday
