Job summary

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation - West Orange is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) for night shifts (7 PM–7:30 AM). Enjoy a $54.00/hour base with shift differential, and the flexibility to pick up shifts at nearby satellite campuses in Chester, Saddle Brook, and West Orange.

Mileage reimbursement is offered for travel to satellite campuses. Responsibilities include admissions/ transfers, patient assessments, EPIC documentation, data interpretation (labs/telemetry), and accurate order

Qualifications

BLS certification required at hire.
Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record.
Ability to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

Receive admissions and transfers, and manage a defined caseload.
Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments.
Document timely and accurately using the EPIC system.
Interpret labs and telemetry data to inform care.
Ensure orders are transcribed and executed correctly.
Promote quality improvement in daily practice.
Educate patients and families about care plans.

Schedule: Per Diem (PRN), 7PM-7:30AM (Nights)(Includes Weekday & Weekend Shifts)

Compensation: $54.00/Hour +Shift Differential

Responsibilities

On each shift, you will partner with a Nursing Assistant and handle a manageable case load. Together, you will help our patients achieve the outlined goals and milestones based on their unique patient care plan.

Receiving admissions and/or transfers.
Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment.
Timely and accurate documentation usingEPIC
Interpreting assessment/diagnostic data, including labs and telemetry.
Ensuring medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
Promoting continuous quality improvement.
Instructing and counseling patients/families.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Valid State RN License required
BLS required at hire
Minimum of 1 year as a full-time RN in an acute care, med/surg, acute medical rehabilitation or related hospital setting
