Job summary

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in Chester, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for per diem shifts. You will work with a Nursing Assistant to manage a feasible patient load, perform admissions/transfers, and conduct nursing assessments.

At shift start, you’ll document in EPIC, review labs and telemetry, and ensure orders are accurately transcribed. Minimum one year of acute care or rehabilitation RN experience is required, with a valid RN license and BLS.

Qualifications

• Valid State RN License required.
• BLS required at hire.
• Minimum of 1 year as a full-time RN in an acute care, med/surg, acute medical rehabilitation or related hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Receiving admissions and/or transfers.
• Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment.
• Timely and accurate documentation using EPIC
• Interpreting assessment/diagnostic data, including labs and telemetry.
• Ensuring medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Instructing and counseling patients/families.

201 Pleasant Hill Rd, Chester NJ 07930 (Morris County)

Schedule:

Per Diem (PRN), Days 7AM-7:30PM OR Nights 7PM-7:30AM (Includes Weekday & Weekend Shifts)

Compensation:

$54.00/Hour +Shift Differential

On each shift, you will partner with a Nursing Assistant and handle a manageable case load. Together, you will help our patients achieve the outlined goals and milestones based on their unique patient care plan.

Per Diem Requirement: Four (4) shifts per 6-week schedule. One Saturday or Sunday, one minor holiday/ major holiday.
