Job summary

Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking an experienced Perianesthesia (PACU) nurse for a part-time role. You will work pre- and post-op care in PACU Phase I & II, with 2x12 hour shifts from 10:00 am to 11:30 pm and some on-call requirements for nights, weekends, and holidays.

The hospital is Magnet-designated and offers comprehensive benefits. Virginia RN licensure, BLS on hire, ACLS/PALS within 90 days, and BSN education are required for consideration.

Qualifications

• One year of critical care (ICU or ED) or PACU nursing required.
• BSN degree; RN must be licensed in Virginia.
• BLS required at hire; ACLS and PALS must be completed within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-anesthesia nursing care in PACU (Phase I & II).
• Cover part-time, 2x12 hour shifts with on-call nights, weekends, and holidays.

PACU Qualifications

• One year of critical care (ICU or ED) or PACU RN experience is required.
• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• BLS healthcare provider certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required at hire; ACLS and PALS must be completed in the first 90 days

RN PACU Preferred Qualifications

• 2 or more years of PACU or critical care nursing (ICU or ED)
