Job summary

Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is seeking a full-time PACU Unit Supervisor to oversee perianesthesia care for electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and gastroenterology procedure patients. The role emphasizes teamwork and patient safety in a fast-paced perioperative environment.

Shifts are four 10-hour weekdays (6:30a-5:30p) with minimal on-call requirements, supporting 8 OR suites and a diverse surgical services team, including robotics and spine, across a community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• One year of nursing experience is required.
• Degree from an accredited school of nursing (BSN or ADN) within one year of BSN completion.
• RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required by AHA.
• Specialty certification within one year from date of hire.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Inova Mount Vernon is looking for a full-time PACU Nurse Supervisor. This role also oversees perianesthesia care for electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and gastroenterology procedure patients.

PACU Unit Supervisor Qualifications:

• One year of nursing experience is required
• Degreefrom an accredited school of nursing, BSN, or ADN within one year of BSN completion
• RN License to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification is required from AHA
• Specialty certification (as required by unit) within one year from date of hire.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

PACU Unit Supervisorpreferred qualifications:

• RN with at least 2 years of PACU-to include PreOp, phase 1 and 2 recovery
• Prior leadership experience to include charge, supervisory or management
