Job summary

Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking an experienced Perianesthesia (PACU) Nurse to provide pre- and post-op care. The role involves 4x9 or 4x10 hour shifts with on-call requirements including nights, weekends, and holidays.

The hospital offers Magnet designation recognition, extensive benefits, and opportunities for professional development. A BSN is required (ADN holders must complete BSN within 5 years) and Virginia RN licensure is necessary.

Qualifications

• One year of critical care (ICU or ED) or PACU RN experience required.
• BSN from an accredited nursing program; ADN holders must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• Virginia RN license required; ACLS/PALS must be completed within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-anesthesia care in PACU (Phase 1 and 2).
• Monitor, assess and intervene for patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Collaborate with OR team and hospital staff to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Inova Alexandria hospital is looking for an experienced Perianesthesia (PACU) Nurse. Inova’s Perianesthesia RNs work pre and post op; Phase 1 and 2. This is Full Time (4x9 or 4x10 hour shifts) to cover hours including 6.00a-11.30p with on call night, weekend, and holiday requirements

RN PACU Qualifications

• One year of critical care (ICU or ED) or PACU RN experience is required.
• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate's Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• BLS healthcare provider certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required at hire; ACLS and PALS must be completed in the first 90 days.

RN PACU Preferred Qualifications

• 2 or more years of PACU or critical care nursing (ICU or ED)
