Job summary

Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking an experienced Perianesthesia (PACU) Nurse for a part-time role. The position covers two 12-hour shifts from 10:00 am to 11:30 pm with on-call duties including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of critical care or PACU experience, a BSN, and an active Virginia RN license. BLS is required at hire; ACLS/PALS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• One year of critical care (ICU or ED) or PACU RN experience.
• BSN from an accredited school of nursing; ADN must complete BSN within 5 years.
• RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• BLS at hire; ACLS and PALS must be completed within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Work in Perianesthesia (PACU) pre and post op, Phase 1 and 2.
• Provide patient care with on-call, night, weekend and holiday coverage.

Inova Alexandria hospital is looking for an experienced Perianesthesia (PACU) Nurse. Inova’s Perianesthesia RNs work pre and post op; Phase 1 and 2.This is a Part Time (2x12 hour shifts) to cover hours from 10.00am-11. 30pm with some on call night, weekend, and holiday requirements.

PACU Qualifications

• One year of critical care (ICU or ED) or PACU RN experience is required.
• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• BLS healthcare provider certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required at hire; ACLS and PALS must be completed in the first 90 days

RN PACU preferred qualifications:

2 or more years of PACU or critical care nursing (ICU or ED)
