Job summary

North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, AL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PACU weekend program. The role requires an active RN license, an ADN or BSN, and BLS; ACLS/PALS are preferred.

North Alabama Medical Center's PACU offers nurses the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment where critical thinking and clinical expertise are valued. How you'll contribute

You'll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.

  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
  • Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
  • Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license. Additional requirements include:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Basic Life Support required
  • ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.
  • Experience preferred, but new grads welcomed to apply.
Schedule

Full Time- Days- This is a weekend position.
