Job summary

North Alabama Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit on the night shift (3 x 12s, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM). The PCU bridges critical care and medical-surgical services, caring for patients requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing skills.

You will join a collaborative team, perform assessments, implement care plans, document care, and pursue ongoing professional development. RN license with BLS required; ACLS within six months; new grads welcome.

Qualifications

• Active state RN license required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
• Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide care appropriate to the patient’s condition and age.
• Timely and accurate documentation in the medical record.
• Maintain and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Conduct timely and accurate QI assessments.

What we’re looking for:

Applicants should have a current state RN license. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification
• ACLS are required within six months of hire.
• One of experience preferred, but new grads welcomed to apply.
