Lourdes Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room in Pasco, WA. This union position offers 8‑hour shifts, Monday through Friday 0700‑1530, and on‑call rotation with evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

A $20,000 commitment incentive bonus is included plus shift differentials. Candidates must hold a Washington RN license, with BLS, ACLS, and PALS in a defined timeframe, and have OR experience.

Qualifications

• Active Washington RN license (single-state) or compact.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• At least two years of RN OR OR experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room and ensure equipment and supplies are available.
• Perform circulating nurse duties during procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and monitor the environment for safety.
• Support efficient case flow by anticipating team needs.
• Communicate effectively with surgeons and anesthesia providers.
• Document care accurately and timely.
• Participate in process improvement to enhance safety and efficiency.

The registered nurse (RN) plans, coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served in the Surgical Services department. The RN ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with departmental standards of care. The RN demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the assigned unit and the organization. They remain flexible to changing systems - are expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practices, and treat staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect.

• 6 Operating Rooms
• 2 GI Suites
• 8 Hour Shifts
• Monday through Friday from 0700-1530
• On- Call rotation including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays, may be required based on departmental needs
• 1 Weekend/Month Required

How you'll contribute

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Surgery is responsible for delivering safe, efficient and high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative process. Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing the operating room and ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available
• Performing circulating nurse duties during surgical procedures
• Maintaining sterile technique and monitoring the surgical environment for safety and compliance
• Anticipating the needs of the surgical team to support efficient case flow
• Communicating effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers and team members
• Documenting care accurately and in a timely manner
• Participating in process improvement efforts to enhance efficiency, safety and team performance

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor's degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Active Washington RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• At least two recent years of RN Operating Room experience required.
