Job summary

Lourdes Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an ED RN in Pasco, WA for a full-time mid-shift (3p-3a) role in a Level IV Trauma Center environment. Union position with competitive base pay and a substantial commitment-based incentive bonus.

Expect 3x12 shifts, every other weekend and holiday rotations, and comprehensive benefits. Applicants need an RN license for WA, ADN or BSN as noted, and ED experience.

Qualifications

• Current Washington RN license or Compact RN with WA endorsement.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• ACLS, BCLS, PALS; NIHSS within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum 1 year ED nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration and procedures.
• Documents patient care provided and communicates with the care team.
• Monitors patient condition and supports transfers, discharges and referrals.
• Educates patients and families based on age, culture and condition.
• Maintains attendance and participates in quality improvement.

How you'll contribute

An ED RN who excels in this role:

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Washington RN license or Compact RN License with Washington endorsement (if relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins), and possess an Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Education: Bachelor of Science (BSN) preferred
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS; NIHSS within 90 days of hire required
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year Emergency Department nursing required
