Apploi is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct resident care, administer medications, and supervise STNAs within a licensed long-term care setting.

You will work with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans, conduct daily rounds, and document patient histories and progress. Strong communication and leadership are essential in coordinating care with families and physicians.

Qualifications

• RN license required and active in Ohio.
• Experience providing direct patient care in a nursing facility preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to make independent clinical decisions when needed.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and regulatory guidelines for long-term care.
• Leadership and supervisory ability to guide staff.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, treating wounds, and performing various medical procedures.

• Supervise and direct the activities of assigned STNAs, ensuring that they provide high-quality care to residents.

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for residents, in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

• Conduct daily rounds to ensure that residents are receiving high-quality care and to identify any areas for improvement.

• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as ordered by physicians.

• Monitor resident conditions and report changes or concerns to the Nurse Supervisor and/or Unit Manager.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve the overall quality of care provided to residents.

• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that care is coordinated and resident needs are met.

Requirements:

• Current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in this state.

• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

• Supporting team member, contribute to and be an example of teamwork and team concept.

• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

• Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
