Job summary

Margate Health and Rehabilitation in Jefferson, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our compassionate care team. You will plan, coordinate, and provide nursing care and health education to residents, under the direction of the Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities include supervising CNAs and staff, coordinating unit-based care, administering medications, transcribing physician orders, and developing care plans to meet resident needs.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted RN license to practice in North Carolina or a compact license allowing practice in NC.
• Experience providing direct nursing care and education to residents.
• Ability to supervise CNAs and coordinate resident care.

Responsibilities

• Supervise care/services provided by CNAs and other staff.
• Coordinate nursing care on the unit for residents.
• Provide medication-related interventions and accurate transcription of orders.
• Perform nursing assessments and notify physician of changes.
• Develop and adjust care plans based on assessments.
• Implement nursing interventions to stabilize conditions.
• Contribute to resident assessments and care plan development.

Applicant must have an unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in North Carolina or a compact license that allows you to practice in North Carolina.

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Registered Nurse (RN) will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, services, and health education to our residents.These positions require patience, compassion, and a desire to care for the residents in a gentle and empathetic manner. Some responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN) may include:

• Supervise the care/services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other staff.
• Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, assuring all assigned staff provide appropriate care to them.
• Provide safe and accurate medication-related interventions to residents.
• Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• Perform nursing assessments regarding the health status of residents. Notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement and document new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and implement appropriate nursing interventions that may be required to stabilize a resident’s condition and/or prevent complications.
• Contribute to the resident’s assessment and the development of a care plan.
