Job summary

SanStone Health & Rehabilitation in North Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The RN will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, health education, and services for residents under the Director of Nursing.

The role requires patience, compassion, and empathetic care. Responsibilities include supervising CNAs, coordinating unit care, medication interventions, physician order transcription, assessments, and developing care plans.

Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in North Carolina or compact licensure.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts.
• Strong patient-care and collaboration with CNAs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the care/services provided by CNAs and other staff.
• Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, assuring all assigned staff provide appropriate care to them.
• Provide safe and accurate medication-related interventions to residents.
• Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• Perform nursing assessments regarding the health status of residents. Notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement and document new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and implement appropriate nursing interventions that may be required to stabilize a resident’s condition and/or prevent complications.
• Contribute to the resident’s assessment and the development of a care plan.

Applicant must have an unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in North Carolina or a compact license that allows you to practice in North Carolina.
