Job summary

Shriners Children’s Ohio seeks a full-time night shift Pediatric RN to join our Inpatient Unit. You will provide compassionate, family-centered care to children requiring Med-Surg and ICU-level nursing—including those recovering from burns and complex craniofacial conditions.

The RN will coordinate care, educate families, and support transitions of care, while contributing to quality improvement and mentoring new staff.

Qualifications

• BSN degree or in process.
• Ohio RN License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

In this unique role, you’ll provide compassionate, family-centered care to children requiring Med-Surg and ICU-level nursing—including those recovering from burns and complex craniofacial conditions. **Key Responsibilities:*** The Inpatient RN is responsible for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care in a collaborative, family-centered environment.* The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family.* This position will provide leadership by acting as an informal and formal leader, preceptor and through quality improvement efforts. **Required Qualifications:*** BSN degree or in process* Ohio RN License* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification **Preferred Qualifications:*** 2+ years bedside RN experience (will consider new grads)* Pediatric and ICU experience* Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certificationCompensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
