Job summary

Shriners Children’s Ohio has an opportunity for a full-time night shift Pediatric RN to join our Inpatient Unit. You’ll provide compassionate, family-centered care to children requiring Med-Surg and ICU-level nursing, including those recovering from burns and complex craniofacial conditions.

Required qualifications include a BSN degree or in process, Ohio RN license, and BLS certification; preferred qualifications include 2+ years bedside RN experience, pediatric/ICU experience, and PALS

Responsibilities

• The Inpatient RN coordinates nursing care, including direct patient care and education in a family-centered environment.
• Supports professional nursing practice across the continuum of care.

Job Description

Shriners Children’s Ohio has an opportunity for a full-time night shift Pediatric RN to join our Inpatient Unit. In this unique role, you’ll provide compassionate, family-centered care to children requiring Med-Surg and ICU-level nursing—including those recovering from burns and complex craniofacial conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• The Inpatient RN is responsible for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care in a collaborative, family-centered environment.
• The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family.
• This position will provide leadership by acting as an informal and formal leader, preceptor and through quality improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications

• BSN degree or in process
• Ohio RN License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years bedside RN experience (will consider new grads)
• Pediatric and ICU experience
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
