Job summary

Shriners Children's Ohio has an opportunity for a full-time Pediatric Registered Nurse in our PACU / Same Day Surgery Department. You will join a team focused on improving children's lives, with 10-hour shifts and an 80-hour bi-weekly schedule.

The RN will provide post-operative care to pediatric patients in the recovery room and participate in interdisciplinary care planning. The ideal candidate holds an Ohio RN license with a BSN (or in progress) and 1 year of PACU/ICU experience, plus BLS.

Qualifications

• BSN degree or in progress.
• Ohio RN License.
• 1 year experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit or ICU.
• BLS certification.
• PALS certification or obtained within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care in the pediatric PACU/recovery area.
• Conduct assessments and interventions to keep patients safe post-surgery.
• Provide leadership through preceptor role and quality improvement efforts.
