Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking an experienced RN for the General Surgery 3W inpatient unit. This role uses the nursing process to deliver compassionate patient care on a 36-hour/week schedule, night shift 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, on a General Surgery floor (not OR).

Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program and Missouri RN license; BLS required. Hospital experience preferred; sign-on bonus offered for experienced and new graduates.

Qualifications

• Education: ADN, Nursing Diploma or BSN from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Missouri RN license or compact license per state rules.
• Experience: Hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of information.

Seeking Experienced & New Graduate Nurses!

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Full-Time | 36 hours/week

Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM-7:30 AM

• Experienced Nurses: Up to $10,000
• New Graduate Nurses (less than 1 year of experience): Up to $5,000

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure: Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience: Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: BSN preferred
• Licensure: Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience: Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
