Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) for the General Surgery 3W unit.

You will provide patient care using the nursing process under RN supervision, coordinate with other departments, and maintain patient rights and confidentiality. Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, active RN licensure in Missouri (or compact licensure), and BLS certification (or obtained within 30 days of hire).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN licensure in hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

Schedule

Part time | 24 hours/week

Shift

Days 7:00pm - 7:00am

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
