Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, Missouri is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) for the General Surgery 3W unit. The schedule is 24 hours per week, with day shifts 7a–7p, location on site.

You will provide patient care using the nursing process and collaborate with the health team to support patient rights and safety. Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, Missouri RN license (or compact), and BLS certification within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Missouri or compact licensure.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process and ensure patient safety.

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Schedule: Part time | 24 hours/week

Shift: Days 7a-7p

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
