Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Pittsburgh is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide and oversee patient care on the medical-surgical unit. You will participate in discharge planning, patient and family teaching, and interdisciplinary planning under the direction of Nursing leadership.

This full-time RN position requires a PA license, BLS certification, and ACLS within 90 days. Experience in inpatient care is preferred, with opportunities to advance within a growing multi-location health system.

Qualifications

• Holds an active RN license in the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, direct and supervise patient care on the nursing unit.
• Coordinate discharge planning and patient teaching.
• Assist with interdisciplinary care planning and family education.
• Potentially serve as Charge Nurse (ACLS required).

We are currently hiring for a Registered Nurse

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Education and Training

Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience

One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
