Job Summary and Qualifications

• Assess health status and needs through data interpretation and preventive care.
• Provide individualized, goal-oriented nursing care using a systematic approach.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and formulate care plans.
• Implement nursing care within scope and legal requirements.
• Develop and teach health promotion and maintenance plans.
• Offer education and emotional support, fostering partnerships with patients and families.
• Care for multiple patients directly or via delegation.
• Evaluate responses and outcomes to interventions.
• Use critical thinking for clinical decision-making.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• BSN required within 24 months if hired after 6/1/12.
• Minimum two years of recent critical care hospital experience.
• Ability to care for PCU, Tele, and Med Surg patients.
• Ability to assume Charge duties.
• Experience in assigned departments.
• Current RN license in Texas or a compact state.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
