Job summary

Kindred Hospital Brea seeks an a registered nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process. You will develop care plans, coordinate with families and interdisciplinary teams, and communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and colleagues.

Discharge planning is a key part of the role. You will assess pain, administer medications, educate patients on pain management, and ensure high-quality care while maintaining professionalism and compassion.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state.
• BCLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum six months med/surg experience in acute care preferred.
• Excellent communication and fluency in English required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Develop and coordinate patient care plans with patient, family and interdisciplinary staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and team.
• Participate in discharge planning.
• Administer medications following five rights of medication administration.
• Educate patients and families on pain management.
• Interact with patients and families with respect and dignity.
