Job summary

Kindred Hospital Brea, part of ScionHealth, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process in an acute care setting.

You will develop care plans, communicate with physicians, participate in discharge planning, and educate patients and families. State RN licensure in CA and CPR/BCLS are required; ACLS preferred; minimum six months of med/surg experience is typical.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Current California RN license.
• BCLS certification; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process.
• Develop and coordinate nursing care plans with patient, family, and staff.
• Communicate changes in patient conditions to physicians and team.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education.
• Ensure accurate documentation in the medical record.
• Administer medications following the five rights of administration.
• Educate patient and family on pain management and care plans.
• Treat patients and families with respect and address psychosocial needs.
