Job summary

Kindred Hospital Melbourne and Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) seek an experienced Registered Nurse to plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process. You will coordinate care with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff, and participate in discharge planning to support successful outcomes.

The role requires RN licensure in the state, BCLS, and a commitment to high standards of safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary certificate or diploma in nursing is required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Registered Nurse license in state of practice (or compact state).
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and supervise direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Develop and coordinate patient care plans with patients, families, and staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and team.
• Participate in discharge planning and interdepartmental collaboration.
• Administer medications following five rights and safety policies.
• Assist with examinations, procedures, and patient education.
• Maintain patient records and document assessments, plans, and progress.
