Job summary

Lake City Care Center, part of Ebenezer, is seeking a Housekeeper to support housekeeping tasks in a skilled nursing setting in Lake City, MN. The role involves cleaning resident rooms and public areas, restrooms, and maintaining supplies with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

The position supports a 16-hour biweekly schedule on day shifts, with every other weekend coverage. Prior cleaning or customer service experience is helpful but not mandatory; training is provided.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year experience in cleaning, customer service or similar environment.
• Ability to read and follow safety procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

• Performs all housekeeping duties as per daily assignment sheet.
• Vacuums, mops, cleans windows and doors.
• Cleans public areas, resident rooms and restrooms.
• Maintains housekeeping cart and replenishes supplies.
• Assists with spills and wears protective equipment as required.
• Supports grounds cleanup when requested and promotes safety.
• Follows communications related to policies and safety sheets.
• Assists with room changes, wheelchair cleaning and special events.

Responsibilities

• Performs all housekeeping duties consistent with daily assignment sheet.
• Vacuums, mops, windows, glass doors, etc.
• Cleans public areas, resident rooms and restrooms
• Maintains housekeeping cart and closet and replenishes supplies throughout community as needed
• Assists with emergency spills and wears protective equipment as required
• Assists with grounds clean up when requested
• Promotes a safe environment for staff, residents and visitors
• Must be able to understand and follow communications related to policies/procedures/safety sheets
• Other duties include but is not limited to: room changes, cleaning wheel chairs and assisting with special events

Schedule Includes

16 hours every 2 weeks 8 hour Day Shift ; every other weekend

Required Qualifications

• 0-1 year experience in cleaning, customer service or similar environment

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year experience in cleaning, customer service or similar environment
