Job summary

Ebenezer Ridges Care Center in Burnsville, MN, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to ensure safety and health needs of adult long-term care and transitional care unit patients are met. You will work with a team including nursing assistants, housekeeping, activities, culinary, social work, and more.

Responsibilities include coordinating medications, monitoring care plans, assessing resident goals, and documenting incidents and care provided.

Qualifications

• Current MN RN license or by start date.
• BLS required upon hire; proof of enrollment acceptable to renew/certify.
• BLS certification must be obtained within three weeks of hire.

Job Overview

Ebenezer is hiring a Registered Nurse/RN role who would be responsible for ensuring that the safety and health needs of the adult long-term care center and transitional care unit patients are met. Supported by a team of nursing assistants, housekeeping, activities, culinary, social work and more.

Ebenezer Ridges Care Center highlights a full continuum of care campus including Transitional Care, Adult Day Programs, Intergenerational Child Care, Long Term Care, Enhanced Care and Assisted Living/Memory Care. We are located across the street from Fairview Ridges Hospital at the I-35E and I-35W split in Burnsville, MN. Nursing schedule includes;

• 48 hours every two weeks
• Evening shift
• Includes every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Full benefits

Responsibilities:

• Monitors personal cares provided to assure consistency with each individual Care Plan
• Coordinates medications and performs treatments per physician orders and facility policies
• RN – Assesses care plans, resident goals and revises, modify as needed
• Provides reports and documentation related to incidents, change of status and cares provided

Required:

• Current MN RN license or by start date
• BLS is required upon hire and/or new hire must show proof that they are currently enrolled in a BLS class to renew or obtain their certification. BLS certification must be obtained within three-weeks of hire date and before nurse can perform independent practice
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers

Preferred:

• Comfortable using Microsoft windows and electronic charting systems
• Work experience in a patient support role, LPN or RN
• Good written and verbal communication skills to interact with residents, families and physicians or providers
