Armor Health in Hollidaysburg, PA seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for a PRN position at Blair County Prison. The 12-hour shifts run on a day-focused schedule (6p-6:30a). You will provide holistic nursing care in a correctional environment and support custody medical processes.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, care planning, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians to ensure quality care and timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Current CPR certificate.
• Proficient with electronic medical records.
• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance including background check and drug screen.

Responsabilités

• Provide holistic (RN) nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assess physical, psychological, and social dimensions; obtain health history and provide written admission assessments.
• Document and communicate triage decisions to the health care provider during custody and discharge.
• Develop nursing care plans in consultation with health care providers.
• Implement medical care plans including diagnostic tests and EKGs per physician orders.
• Administer medications using proper techniques and routes; manage nutrition and therapeutic diets.
• Assist physicians in medical or minor surgical procedures as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic (RN) nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.

• Develop individual nursing care plans using nursing assessment protocols in consultation with health care providers.

• Administer medications using proper techniques, procedures, and approved routes of administration; nutrition and therapeutic diet plans.
• Assist physician in medical or minor surgical procedures as necessary.
