Job summary

Armor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for PRN coverage at Blair County Prison in Hollidaysburgh, PA. The role involves delivering holistic nursing care in a secure correctional setting and participating in patient assessments and care planning.

Responsibilities include documenting triage decisions, administering medications, supporting physicians during procedures, and coordinating with health care providers to implement treatment plans. Day shift, 6pm–6:30am, 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Proficient with electronic medical records.

• Assess physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients; obtain health history and provide a written assessment of patients upon admission.
• During custody and upon discharge, document and communicate triage decisions to the appropriate health care provider.
• Develop individual nursing care plans using nursing assessment protocols in consultation with health care providers.
• Implement medical care plans to include diagnostic tests, EKGs, etc., according to physician orders.
• Administer medications using proper techniques, procedures, and approved routes of administration; nutrition and therapeutic diet plans.
• Assist physician in medical or minor surgical procedures as necessary.
