Job summary

Armor Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Blair County Prison team in Hollidaysburg, PA. This PRN night shift position features 12-hour shifts from 6p-6:30a.

You will provide holistic nursing care in a correctional setting, support doctors and RNs, perform tests, document care and ensure accurate charting and patient transfers.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Pennsylvania.
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficient with electronic medical records.
• Able to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance.

• Review patient charts; report symptoms, reactions, treatments and changes.
• Coordinate transfers, administer medications, and document contacts using POMR.

Excellent outcomes start with great people, and Armor has an exciting opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Blair County Prison in Hollidaysburg, PA. This is a PRN position working on the night shift 6p-630a 12hr shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assist health care providers, registered nurses, and allied health professionals with examinations, treatments, special tests, and routine procedures.
• Obtain patient health history, laboratory specimens, vital signs and administers TB skin tests.
• Conduct lab tests and ensures the results are delivered to the correct physician or registered nurse.
• Ensure patient is receiving proper care for injury or condition.
• Review patient chart; records and reports observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient's conditions.
• Coordinate patient transfers to medical facilities or outside health care providers; administer medications; implement healthcare practitioners' orders; and document all patient contacts using the POMR format.

Qualifications

• Current/Active state license as an LPN
• Current CPR certificate
• Proficient with electronic medical records
• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include a background check and drug screen
