The RN will maintain accurate documentation, follow facility policies, promote resident safety, and respond promptly to changes in residents' conditions while providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the practicing state.
• Recent clinical experience, education, or specialty skills specific to the population providing care to.
• Demonstrate understanding that state and Federal rules and regulations govern the practices within a facility.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of infection control principles and practices.
• Ongoing pursuit of Continuing Education Credits in clinical subjects, management, personal growth and development.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and positively with staff, residents and family members.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn required software.
• Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
• Must meet all local health regulations. This includes drug screening, criminal background investigation and reference inquiry.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate resident care services and establish positive interactions with residents, families, and staff.
• Take responsibility for resolving issues and concerns to ensure outstanding experiences for residents and customers.
• Promote positive relationships with residents, visitors, and regulators, presenting a professional appearance.
• Supervise CNAs and other personnel to ensure quality resident care, coaching and assigning tasks as needed.
• Coordinate with physicians and other health care professionals to integrate plans of care and communicate changes.
• Ensure accurate documentation of medical records and reporting forms and follow infection control procedures.
