Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to support our Centralized Staffing Pool in New Jersey. You’ll float to multiple health centers, covering day shifts and up to five shifts per week.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, care coordination with physicians, administration of medications, and maintaining records in a fast-paced occupational health setting. This role offers flexibility and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
• Currently licensed RN in state of practice required
• BLS certification required; ACLS may be required depending on contract scope
• COHN/COHN-S preferred and may be required for some sites
• Minimum 3 years RN experience in ER, occupational health, or ambulatory care

Responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs, perform nursing evaluations and treat within scope
• Collaborate with physicians for further evaluation and care
• Perform and document tests and treatments (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administer medications and emergency care within legal scope
• Maintain equipment, environment, infection control and accurate records
• Educate patients on health promotion and follow-up care
• Perform other duties as assigned

As a PRN Registered Nurse, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Centers located in Northern and Central NJ.

We are currently looking for a PRN Registered Nurse to join our Centralized Staffing Pool in New Jersey.

• Opportunity to pick up 5-shifts per week. Monday -Friday, day shift hours between 7am-5pm.
• In this role you will float to our different health centers in West Trenton, Princeton, Piscataway, New Brunswick, Raritan, Parsippany, Morristown, Newark, Weehawken, and Jersey City.

What You’ll Do

• Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic
