Premise Health in Frederick, MD is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to provide care to client employees at our Health Center. Join our centralized staff pool for flexible shifts, including preferred overnight availability.

Occupational health experience is valued, with responsibilities spanning assessments, treatments, and patient education. You will collaborate with physicians, document care, maintain records, and support infection control in a safe environment.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Maryland required
• Current BLS certification required
• Occupational Health Nursing certification preferred
• At least three years in ER, occupational health, or ambulatory care
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred for some sites

Responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs and perform nursing evaluations
• Collaborate with physicians for further medical care
• Perform and document tests and treatments (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administer medications and emergency care within scope
• Maintain equipment, infection control, and clean environment
• Maintain accurate patient health records
• Educate patients on health promotion and follow-up care
• Perform other duties as assigned

For more information, visit www.premisehealth.com.As a PRN Registered Nurse, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Frederick, MD.

• Join Our Centralized Staff Pool: Work PRN and pick up shifts as needed, providing flexibility while supporting our sites when coverage is needed.
• Preferred Overnight Availability: Tuesday–Friday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, plus Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.
• Occupational Health Experience Preferred: Bring your occupational health background and make an impact in a employee health setting.

What You’ll Do

• Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands‑on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic
