Job summary

Premise Health Inc. is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for our Health Center in Frederick, MD. You will provide occupational health and general nursing care, working in a centralized staff pool to pick up shifts as needed.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, tests (EKG, audiometry, spirometry), medication administration, and education on health promotion while ensuring safety and accurate records. Flexible, site-based role with competitive pay and benefits discussion.

Qualifications

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or AS degree.
• Currently licensed RN in state of practice.
• BLS/ACLS certification required; ACLS may be required by contract.
• COHN/COHN-S or emergency nursing cert preferred.
• At least three years RN experience in ER or occupational health/ambulatory care.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and clinicians for further care.

For more information, visit www.premisehealth.com.As a PRN Registered Nurse, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Frederick, MD.

• Join Our Centralized Staff Pool: Work PRN and pick up shifts as needed, providing flexibility while supporting our sites when coverage is needed.
• Preferred Overnight Availability: Tuesday–Friday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, plus Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.
• Occupational Health Experience Preferred: Bring your occupational health background and make an impact in a employee health setting.

What You’ll Do

• Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands‑on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic
