Job summary

Premise Health Inc. in Winchester, VA is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to provide care to client employees at our Health Center. You will assess patient needs, perform nursing evaluations, collaborate with physicians, administer medications, and maintain accurate records while following infection control guidelines.

The PRN role operates within the Clinic's hours (Mon–Fri 8:30 am–5:00 pm). You will join a team focused on patient education, health promotion, and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in state of practice is required.
• Minimum three years of RN experience in emergency, occupational health, or ambulatory care.
• BLS certification required; ACLS may be required per contract.
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs and perform nursing evaluations.
• Collaborate with physicians for further medical evaluation and care as needed.
• Perform and document medical tests (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
• Administer medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice.
• Maintain equipment, environment, and infection control procedures.
• Maintain patient health records and ensure accuracy.
• Educate patients on health promotion and follow-up care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a PRN Registered Nurse, you'll provide care toclient employees in our Health Center located in Winchester, VA.

The scheduled hours are PRN - as needed within the Clinic's Operating Hours: Mondays - Fridays 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

What You’ll Do

• Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $33.60 - $42.00 per hour. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
