Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for our Health Center in Belleville, IL. You will assess patient care needs, perform nursing evaluations, and provide care within the scope of practice while collaborating with physicians for further medical evaluation.

You will perform tests (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision), administer medications, maintain records, and educate patients on health promotion. Must be comfortable with phlebotomy and hold an active RN license in the state.

Qualifications

• RN license current in state of practice
• BLS certification required; ACLS may be required depending on site
• 3+ years RN experience in emergency room or occupational health/ambulatory care
• COHN/COHN-S preferred; occupational health nursing background advantageous
• Phlebotomy experience or comfort with phlebotomy required

Responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs, perform nursing evaluations and provide treatment within scope of practice
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team for further medical evaluation
• Perform and document medical tests and screenings (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administer medications and emergency care within legal scope
• Maintain medical equipment and infection control procedures; ensure safe environment
• Maintain patient health records and ensure accuracy and privacy of information
• Educate patients on health promotion and participate in follow-up care
• Perform other duties as assigned

A PRN Registered Nurse, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Belleville, IL. The scheduled hours are PRN as needed during clinic hours, Monday-Wednesday, 7am-4pm, Thursday, 6am-3pm and Friday, 7am-12pm. Must be comfortable with phlebotomy.

What You’ll Do

• Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands‑on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN‑S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic
