Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for our Health Center in Belleville, IL. The role supports patient care during clinic hours with phlebotomy duties as needed and requires an active RN license in the state, BLS certification, and experience in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities include nursing evaluations, collaboration with physicians, phlebotomy, medication administration, documentation, and patient education. PRN schedule reflects clinic hours and contract scope.

Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Phlebotomy comfort is required.
• COHN/COHN-S or ACLS preferred depending on site scope.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs and perform nursing evaluations.
• Collaborate with physicians for evaluation and care as needed.
• Perform tests and treatments per site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
• Administer medications and provide emergency care within scope.
• Maintain equipment, environment, and infection control procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient health records and follow up as needed.
• Educate patients on health promotion and follow-up care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a PRN Registered Nurse, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Belleville, IL. The scheduled hours are PRN as needed during clinic hours, Monday-Wednesday, 7am-4pm, Thursday, 6am-3pm and Friday, 7am-12pm. Must be comfortable with phlebotomy.

What You’ll Do

• Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic
