Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a PRN Nurse Practitioner to provide primary care in our Belleville, IL Health Center. Flexible shifts (4–5 per month) and clinic hours vary across weekdays; prior primary/urgent/ER experience is preferred.

Responsibilities include exams, procedures, care planning, patient education, ordering tests, and collaboration with medical staff. Requires active NP license, DEA, and 3+ years in relevant settings.

Qualifications

• Must hold state RN licenses/certificates to practice.
• Must hold Nurse Practitioner license to practice.
• State prescriptive authority where applicable.
• Federal DEA license (matching state(s) of practice).
• Current national certification (ANCC or AANP) required.
• Master’s Degree in Science of Nursing.
• BLS certification; ACLS may be required.
• At least three years of clinical NP experience in ambulatory/occupational health/family practice/ED.

Responsibilities

• Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines.
• Performs injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
• Develops patient care plans and ensures continuity of care.
• Educates patients on treatment plans and health maintenance.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess conditions.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
• Prescribes or recommends treatments including medications.
• Refer patients to specialists as needed.
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation.
• Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

As a PRN Nurse Practitioner - PRN, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Belleville, IL. The scheduled hours are PRN as needed during clinic hours, Monday-Wednesday, 7am-4pm, Thursday, 6am-3pm,and Friday, 7am-12pm. Majority of coverage is needed Thursday, Friday, and Monday - 4-5 shifts per month. Previous primary care, urgent care or ER experience.

What You’ll Do

• Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care
• Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, and development
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care
• Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies
• Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed
• Maintains patient health records ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation and records
• Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Maintains state RN licenses/certificates to practice

• Maintains State Prescriptive Authority (if applicable)
• Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable)
• State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state (Alabama, Connecticut, DC, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming, Puerto Rico) (New York ROPES registration)
• Current national certification (ANCC or AANP required)
• Master’s Degree in Science of Nursing (if Master Degree in Science certificate does not state Nursing on it then a copy of transcripts is required)
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• At least three years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $56.00 - $70.00 per hour. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
