Job summary

Incredible Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for a PCU/Stepdown role in the Bradenton, FL area. This position supports both full-time and part-time schedules with day and night shifts on a teaching hospital team.

The role focuses on caring for patients with medium to high acuity, requiring vitals monitoring, medication administration and collaboration with the care team. ADN or higher, active RN license, BLS & ACLS and EMR proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher in nursing.
• Active RN license in good standing.
• 1 year stepdown/neuro/cardiac or similar acuity setting preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Proficient with electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Care for medium to high acuity patients with close monitoring.
• Administer medications and execute complex treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and case managers to ensure quality care.
• Educate patients and families on condition management and device use.
• Maintain accurate patient records per hospital policies.

Registered Nurse - PCU / Stepdown

Location: Bradenton, FL area

Shift(s) available: day shift and night shift

Job types available: full time and part time

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in stepdown/progressive, neurology, cardiac, or another medium to high acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation and other advanced nursing care practices
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care for patients with medium to high acuity needs, closely monitoring vital signs, IV drips and other key indicators
• Administer medications and implement complex treatment plans, ensuring that medical orders are carried out accurately and promptly
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
• Educate patients and their families on the management of their acute or chronic conditions, including the proper use of equipment like BiPAP/CPAP/Home Oxygen and vital sign or blood sugar monitors
• Maintain timely and accurate patient records, adhering to hospital and departmental policies and regulations
