Job summary

MetroHealth Parma Health Center in Parma, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Acute Care Adult Medical/Post-Surgical Unit. The role features 72 bi-weekly hours, a 7a-7p/7p-7a rotating shift, with rotating weekends and holidays, and a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 for qualifying experience.

This inpatient unit cares for Medical, Post-Surgical and Trauma Level 3 patients, with IV insertions, blood draws, telemetry monitoring, and critical thinking required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtained within 90 days.
• PRN requires 1 year RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

Primary Patient Population:

• Medical

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• IV insertions, blood draws, post-surgical care

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, Speech Therapy

Number of beds on unit:

• 15 beds plus 1 Trauma bed as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).


• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio


• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.


• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience


• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire
