Job summary

MetroHealth Parma Health Center in Ohio is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Acute Care Adult Medical/Post-Surgical Unit (Parma Inpatient). The RN will deliver high-quality patient-centered care on a 72-hour biweekly shift schedule (7a-7p/7p-7a) with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, current RN license in Ohio, and BLS certification; BSN and Magnet certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Primary Patient Population:

• Medical
• Post-Surgical
• Trauma- Level 3 Trauma Center

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• IV insertions, blood draws, post-surgical care
• Telemetry monitoring
• Time management, critical thinking, delegating

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, Speech Therapy

Number of beds on unit:

• 15 beds plus 1 Trauma bed as needed

Required Qualifications:
