Job summary

MetroHealth Parma Health Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Acute Care Adult Medical/Post-Surgical Unit. The role includes IVs, telemetry, and post-surgical care in a 15-bed unit with a trauma bed as needed.

You will work with LPNs, PCNAs, and providers in a fast-paced environment, rotating weekends/holidays. Ohio RN licensure and BLS are required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN licensure in Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide acute care nursing in post-surgical and medical units.
• Perform telemetry monitoring and post-operative care.
• Collaborate with LPNs, PCNAs, and other care team members.
• Demonstrate time management and critical thinking in a high-volume environment.

Bi-weekly Hours: 72.00

Shift: 7a-7p/7p-7a; Rotating weekends, Rotating holidays

Up to $10,000 sign on bonus for RNs with qualifying experience

Primary Patient Population:

• Medical


• Post-Surgical


• Trauma- Level 3 Trauma Center

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• IV insertions, blood draws, post-surgical care

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, Speech Therapy

Number of beds on unit:

• 15 beds plus 1 Trauma bed as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).


• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio


• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.


• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience


• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire
