Job summary

MetroHealth Parma Health Center is seeking a qualified RN for the Acute Care Adult Medical/Post-Surgical Unit. This 72-hour bi-weekly shift pattern includes 7a-7p and 7p-7a with rotating weekends and holidays, in a 15-bed unit.

Eligible candidates may receive up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities to work with a multidisciplinary team using telemetry and advanced nursing technology.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire

Up to $10,000 sign on bonus for RNs with qualifying experience

All Acute Care Adult Specialty units offer enhanced technology to assist with nursing care, including patient lifts, hands-free communication, virtual whiteboards, and telemetry monitoring capability.

Primary Patient Population:

• Medical


• Post-Surgical


• Trauma- Level 3 Trauma Center

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• IV insertions, blood draws, post-surgical care


• Telemetry monitoring


• Time management, critical thinking, delegating

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, Speech Therapy

Number of beds on unit:

• 15 beds plus 1 Trauma bed as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).


• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio


• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire
