Job summary

MetroHealth Parma Health Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Acute Care Adult Medical/Post-Surgical Unit (Parma Inpatient). The unit has 15 beds plus 1 trauma bed as needed and uses telemetry monitoring for patient care.

Bi-weekly hours total 72 with shifts from 7a-7p or 7p-7a and rotating weekends/holidays. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is offered for qualifying experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN license in the State of Ohio.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications at hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform IV insertions, blood draws, and post‑surgical care.
• Monitor telemetry and respond to patient needs.
• Demonstrate time management and critical thinking, delegating as needed.

Primary Patient Population:

• Medical

• Trauma- Level 3 Trauma Center

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• IV insertions, blood draws, post-surgical care

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, Speech Therapy

Number of beds on unit:

• 15 beds plus 1 Trauma bed as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).


• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio


• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.


• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience


• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN


• Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association
