Job summary

MetroHealth Parma Health Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Acute Care Adult Medical/Post-Surgical Unit. Rotating 12-hour shifts (7a-7p and 7p-7a) with weekends and holidays rotations; bi-weekly hours are 72. A sign-on bonus up to $10,000 is offered for qualifying RN experience.

You will collaborate with LPNs, PCNAs, and Providers to deliver high-quality care, perform IV starts, blood draws, telemetry monitoring, and ensure patient safety and post-operative recovery.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in Ohio.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on the Acute Care Adult Medical/Post-Surgical Unit.
• Perform IV insertions and blood draws as part of routine care.
• Monitor telemetry and ensure patient safety during post-operative care.
• Collaborate with LPNs, PCNAs, Providers, PT/OT, and therapy teams.

Primary Patient Population:

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, Speech Therapy

Number of beds on unit:

• 15 beds plus 1 Trauma bed as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).


• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio


• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
