Job summary

MetroHealth Parma Health Center is seeking an Acute Care Adult RN for the Medical/Post-Surgical Unit. Responsibilities include IV insertions, blood draws, telemetry monitoring, and direct patient care on a 7a–7p rotating shift with weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide acute care nursing for Medical, Post-Surgical and Trauma patients.
• Perform IV insertions, blood draws, and telemetry monitoring.
• Demonstrate time management, critical thinking, and appropriate delegation.
• Collaborate with LPNs, PCNAs, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT,Speech Therapy.

Bi-weekly Hours: 72.00

Shift: 7a-7p/7p-7a; Rotating weekends, Rotating holidays

Up to $10,000 sign on bonus for RNs with qualifying experience

Primary Patient Population:

Primary skills utilized/learned:

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, Speech Therapy

Number of beds on unit:

• 15 beds plus 1 Trauma bed as needed
