Job summary

MetroHealth Parma Health Center is seeking a registered nurse to join the Acute Care Adult Medical/Post-Surgical Unit (Parma Inpatient). You will perform IV insertions, blood draws, and telemetry monitoring, delivering high-quality patient-centered care.

Current Ohio RN licensure is required, with BLS certification or eligibility within 90 days. PRN roles require 1 year of RN experience and applicable certifications. Join us for a rewarding role on a high-functioning team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
• AHA BLS for healthcare providers or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on Acute Care Adult Medical/Post-Surgical Unit (Parma Inpatient).
• Perform IV insertions and blood draws.
• Monitor telemetry to ensure patient safety and timely response to changes.
• Demonstrate time management, critical thinking, and delegation in patient care.

Bi-weekly Hours: 72.00

Shift: 7a-7p/7p-7a; Rotating weekends, Rotating holidays

Up to $10,000 sign on bonus for RNs with qualifying experience

Primary Patient Population:

• Medical


• Post-Surgical


• Trauma- Level 3 Trauma Center

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• IV insertions, blood draws, post-surgical care


• Telemetry monitoring


• Time management, critical thinking, delegating

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, Speech Therapy

Number of beds on unit:

• 15 beds plus 1 Trauma bed as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).


• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio


• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.


• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience


• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire

• BSN
