Job summary

MetroHealth Parma Health Center is hiring for an Acute Care Adult Medical/Post-Surgical RN in the Parma inpatient unit. You will work 7a-7p with rotating weekends and holidays, in a 15-bed + trauma-capable unit, delivering post‑operative and medical care for trauma level 3 patients.

Responsibilities include IV insertions, blood draws, telemetry monitoring, and rapid, accurate assessment with time management and delegation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Shift: 7a-7p/7p-7a; Rotating weekends, Rotating holidays

Primary Patient Population:

• Medical
• Post-Surgical
• Trauma- Level 3 Trauma Center

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• IV insertions, blood draws, post-surgical care

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, Speech Therapy

Number of beds on unit:

• 15 beds plus 1 Trauma bed as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
