Job summary

Ascension in the Austin metro area seeks an OR Nurse Staffing professional to float across multiple facilities within the Austin, TX region. The schedule is Day l PRN and the role offers compensation of $64 per hour, reflecting experienced nursing support for operating room teams.

You will deliver high-quality, compassionate direct patient care, coordinate all aspects of a patient’s journey, and ensure timely execution of physician and nursing orders while documenting observations for a seamless

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date.
• BLS Provider (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate direct patient care across diverse OR units.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans according to physician and nursing orders.
• Coordinate all aspects of a patient's journey and act as central liaison among healthcare disciplines.
• Record all patient conditions, observations, and interventions accurately to ensure a coordinated care plan.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate direct patient care across diverse specialty units in adherence to all established organizational protocols.
• Implement and continuously monitor patient care plans, ensuring the accurate and timely execution of physician and nursing orders.
• Coordinate all aspects of a patient's journey by serving as the central link for communication and assessment among all disciplines within the healthcare team.
• Communicate and meticulously record all patient conditions, observations, and interventions to ensure a seamless, well-coordinated care plan.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Required Credential(s)

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Preferred Credential(s)

• Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

What Additional Preferences We're Seeking

• Minimum of two years of recent acute care Operating Room or Circulator nursing experience demonstrating clinical competency across diverse, high-acuity patient populations.
• Proven ability to successfully navigate and provide autonomous direct care in a multi-unit, float, or resource team environment.
