Job summary

Baptist Health System, Inc. seeks a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. This full-time position runs 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

with call and weekend rotation required. The RN is responsible for direct comprehensive nursing care from admission to discharge, documenting care and outcomes, and communicating with physicians and departments. Requirements include ADN, current KY RN license, ACLS within 6 months of hire, BLS within 90 days, and Crisis Prevention within 6 months.

Qualifications

• ADN degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted RN license in Kentucky.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• Crisis Prevention within 6 months of hire.

The Registered Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge.

• Having ongoing communication with physicians and other departments in the hospital.

Requirements:

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
• Must obtain Crisis Prevention within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Recent experience in specialty preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
